Our Team

Ross brings over twenty years business development and operations management experience across a range of engineering disciplines. As Managing Director of Power & Chemical Plant, he introduced a wide range of innovative environmental monitoring and alternative energy solutions to the Irish and UK markets. Ross has extensive experience in the power generation industry having for many years worked with a number of companies in the energy space including ESB, Consolidated Coal, Foster Wheeler, Krupp, Ahlstrom and Siemens. Since 2007 he has specialized in wind and solar technologies and is one of the founders of Turbowind Energy. Ross holds a BA from University College Dublin.

Mervyn brings over twenty years management experience in the UK and Ireland having worked in environmental consulting, mining, quarrying and waste management industries. Prior to co-founding Turbowind Energy, Mervyn served as General Manager of KTK Sand & Gravel. Previous management roles include Head of Mining Engineering and Surveying with Irish Salt Mining & Exploration Company and Landfill Manager with Greenstar Plc. He holds a Degree in Minerals Surveying from the University of Mid-Glamorgan, Wales.

Gerry is a civil engineer and holds qualifications in Project Management, H&S, Energy Management, and Alternative Energy. He is also a qualified Health and Safety practitioner. Gerry has responsibility for programmes, installations and operations. He has over twenty years experience in the civil engineering industry, with the last ten years spent on renewable energy and environmental protection projects. Gerry has project managed the development and construction of some of the largest and most complex wind farm developments in Ireland. He has also managed a variety of projects including port and road infrastructure projects.

Angelo is a marketing specialist and organisational psychologist. With over twenty years experience he has held a variety of management and leadership roles in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining Turbowind Energy, Angelo was CEO of Simplicity Technology, a software development company specialising in Physical Security Information Management. He also brings over ten years management consulting experience. As Managing Director of the European business for a global consulting firm, he has worked with clients in Europe, the US and Australia, including Rio Tinto Alcan, BHP Billiton, Aker Solutions and Dyno Nobel. Angelo’s other clients have included: the Environmental Protection Agency, The Irish Police Force, FIAT, Aer Lingus, and the Government of Tanzania. He holds an Honours BA in Psychology, an MBA and an MSc in Occupational Psychology. He is a former Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
